1. Who is sosmedicalsuperstore.com?

We are the new website of a company that has been in business since 1990 and has been servicing the ambulatory surgery communities nationwide and internationally. The website was created due to all the demands in the industry for lower prices without sacrificing quality or brand. We also provide sales and service to people in the health industry that use brand name surgical sutures & surgical supplies and do not want a contract in order to get better prices.

We buy Ethicon, Syneture, BBraun, and other suture liquidations as well as other surgical supplies, and are therefore able to pass along the savings to you.

2. Are you a Syneture, Bbraun, or Ethicon dealer?

No. We only purchase industry lots, surplus, liquidations and hospital closeouts, therefore; we don't always carry all of the manufacturer's item numbers nor do we know if a certain item will come in again.

3. How do I place an order?

You can "add" items to your shopping cart and when finished just click checkout. You will be asked to fill out your information once (if you choose to save it), or every time you place an order. The system will ask you to pay with a credit card or you can also call us to set up a "terms" account which will allow you to call in the order or simply place the order through the website with a "purchase order number" at the time of payment. You will receive a monthly statement with your invoice totals. Applicable tax and/or shipping charges will be detailed in each invoice.

4. Can I save my billing, shipping, and credit card information so that I don't have to enter it every time I place an order?

Yes you can. This is a secure server website and all information pertaining to an account, including credit cards are securely stored and your information is not shared with any other company.

5. Does sosmedicalsuperstore.com charge sales tax?

Only in Florida and only on the taxable items. All sutures are tax exempt. If you place an order for various items of which some have tax and some don't, the tax will be adjusted appropriately upon checkout.

6. Why don't the pictures show an expiration date?

In order to keep the website as clean and transparent as possible, we post pictures for most of the items we sell WITHOUT an expiration date. The pictures are just a sample of the exact item you'll be buying. In every item page it is explicitly stated if the item is in good date or expired. We sell every item in the original manufacturer package.

7. What are your payment methods?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discovery or we can also set up a "terms" account in which you would be billed as per the terms agreed upon. For more information please refer to our "Terms & Conditions" page.

8. How soon will my order ship?

All orders placed by 4:00pm EST will ship the same day. For all post operative garments the orders will be processed the same day it was placed; however it will ship out on the next business day.

9. How do you ship the orders?

All orders go out via Fedex regular ground service. If you have another shipping request, kindly call us to see if we can accommodate your needs. Anything sent to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico will have detailed tracking. All orders over $750.00 have regular ground FREE FREIGHT and it will be adjusted at the time of checkout. Next Day and Second Day Air deliveries are also available and the applicable charges will also be adjusted at the time of checkout. 10. Can I combine several orders throughout the day or the week in order to get Free Freight?

Every order is considered fulfilled once the checkout process has been completed online or once the sales associate closes your order over the phone.

11. Is there a minimum order?

You can order as much or as little as you need. Although we do not list quantities available, the system will allow you to purchase only what is currently in stock, and it will lower your desired quantities if these exceed the amount in stock. You can call us if you would like to place certain items on "back order" so that; upon arrival, our sales associates will email or call and advise you that the desired item came in.

12. Why are there multiple entries for the same item number?

This happens when the item is sold by box or individual packet and by expired box or expired individual packet.

13. What do the suffixes "G", "D", "T", "H", "EV", "GEX", "DEX", "TEX", "HEX", or "EVX" represent?

"G" = box of 12 each
"D" = box of 12 each
"T" = box of 24 each
"H" = box of 36 each
"EV" = each or individual packet
"GEX" = box of 12 each expired
"DEX" = box of 12 each expired
"TEX" = box of 24 each expired
"HEX" = box of 36 each expired
"EVX" = each or individual packet expired

15. Do you have equivalent items from other manufacturers for every suture or device you sell?

Every alternative item from a different manufacturer is directly linked to the item number viewed originally. These alternatives are an exact match and will show the different prices to make your choice an easier task. Just click on any alternative and you will be directed to the alternative item page. The alternatives that you see are what we have IN STOCK.
Although there are many items that have a substitute in the industry, we don't always have all the available equivalencies in stock therefore; only what we currently have available is shown.

16. Do you sell a specific suture item number in both boxes and loose envelopes?

Only when we have them both available. We do not open a box of suture to sell it in loose envelopes. When both options are available for purchase, one of them will be shown in the alternative item box.
